Wilpattu is Sri Lanka’s largest national park, defined by its villu, natural lakes scattered through dry forest that give the park a quieter, more contemplative atmosphere than the busier southern parks. Leopards, elephants and sloth bears are all present, with far fewer other vehicles around to share the sighting.
