Sinharaja is Sri Lanka’s last major tract of primary lowland rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where a significant share of the island’s endemic birds, amphibians and plant species exist nowhere else. A guided dawn walk here is the clearest contrast on the island to the dry-zone heritage sites further north.
